Not every company has deep enough pockets to invest in proper, grown up monitoring tools. Sometimes you just need to make do with ‘Freemium’ until you can get the buy-in you need to start investing in Social Media monitoring tools.

Steve Farnsworth (@Steveology) compiled this list of free monitoring tools way back in 2010 (I know…it’s like the Ice Age of Social Media!). The comments section also lists some updated suggestions of ways to find mentions of your brand.
