Social Strategy For Retail

July 31, 2012 by thatsocialmediathing

Radian 6 make a lot of things about Social Media simple, which is why I really like their pack – Social Media Strategy for Retail.

They give retailers a step-by-step guide to getting going and keeping going with social. Even if you only take one idea from this report and implement it into your business (such as ‘How Do I Start Listening?’), you’re on the road to building a better understanding of what your customers want from you.

  1. Hi Fiona, thanks so much for linking to our retail ebook. I’m glad you enjoyed the format and that you got some takeaways from it. Is there anything we didn’t cover that you would like to see in the future?

    • Hi Zoe,
      Thanks for getting in touch!
I think for people who are just starting with social, a few quick bullet points are always useful. Things like:
      1. Listen – what are your customers saying? How do you add value?
      2. Find your tribe – Facebook isn’t for everyone. Maybe you belong on LinkedIn!
      3. Get a content plan – think of how you will tell your story
      4. Keep track of what you’re doing. If you don’t measure it, how will you know it’s working?
I think Radian 6 send some great information out into the world. It makes such a difference dealing with a company who drink their own Coolade!!
      Keep up the great work
